Dr. Katariina Juusola is an Associate Professor with a Doctor of Science degree and an MA in Bilingualism and Multilingualism. Passionate about language development, she combines her research expertise with personal experience as the mother of a bilingual daughter. Dr. Katariina’s research focuses on applying positive psychology to design child-centered family language policies that support home language maintenance in transnational bilingual families. Her approach emphasizes fostering bilingualism and multilingualism in children in joyful and empowering ways. Through the Bilingual Family network, Dr. Katariina seeks to inspire parents and educators to embrace the benefits of raising bilingual children.
